Mike Powers | President
Mike Powers, the Founder and President of APS, boasts over two decades of industry experience, starting his career as a 1st bracket apprentice scrapping at Safeco Field. Over the years, he has ascended through the ranks, excelling as an estimator and project manager responsible for multi-million dollar projects before becoming the leader of one of the largest drywall companies in the state. Balancing his professional achievements, Mike is a dedicated father to three children with whom he cherishes spending time and traveling. Since founding APS in September 2007, his goal has been to maintain the company's reputation as the best place to work in the industry, with an ambitious vision to become the largest drywall contractor in Washington and Oregon.
Sam Koeppen | Admin Director
As the Director of HR & Administration, Sam brings organization, efficiency, and creativity to her role. She manages a broad spectrum of administrative and HR duties, executive support, event planning, and oversees business logistics. Despite being newer to the industry, her adaptability and eagerness to learn has quickly afforded her as an integral part of Alliance's managerial team. At APS, her commitment is to the wellness of her team. Outside of her professional achievements, Sam leads a fulfilling personal life in the picturesque Pacific Northwest with her husband and two dogs.
Larry Walker | Operations Director
With 36 years of industry experience, Larry, the Director of Operations, has built an impressive career in the dynamic Pacific Northwest, transitioning from a lather to a framer, drywall foreman, and eventually, a Project Manager. His expertise has shaped iconic projects such as Safeco Field, Century Link Field, and global Microsoft Instore initiatives. Larry has significantly influenced the region’s skyline, contributing to high-rise constructions in Bellevue and Seattle, dormitory projects at the University of Washington, and the Sound Transit Light Rail. Beyond his professional achievements, Larry is a devoted husband and father of three, and he cherishes being a grandfather to three. In his free time, Larry enjoys muscle cars, golfing, kayaking, and skiing.
Derek St. Germaine | Estimating Director
Meet Derek, our seasoned Director of Estimating with over 15 years of construction industry expertise. Originating from the dynamic California market, Derek infuses our team with his extensive knowledge and relentless pursuit of excellence. Under his leadership, our estimating department has reached new heights, achieving record-breaking backlogs. Outside of the office, Derek finds joy in family moments with his children, exploring nature through hiking, immersing himself in the music scene at concerts, playing a game of hockey, and traveling.
Christine Santos | Finance Director
Christine, our Controller, is an experienced financial executive specializing in financial management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. Her innovative financial strategies have been instrumental in driving business expansion and profitability. With an MBA in Accounting, Christine's robust background in construction finance further strengthens her expertise. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs, reflecting her love for animals and the balance she maintains between her professional and personal life.
Jeff Stephens | Safety Director
In his role as Safety Director, Jeff embodies a wealth of invaluable field expertise amassed over an impressive 17-year tenure in various operational capacities. His steadfast commitment to safety resonates as the cornerstone of operational excellence, underpinning not only the success of individual projects but also the overarching prosperity of the entire organization. Jeff's belief in safety manifests in his proactive approach to fostering a culture of responsibility at every level. He eagerly anticipates the opportunity to personally engage with each member of our team, forging meaningful connections as he embarks on visits to each job site.
Greg Lawson | Superintendent
Greg, our General Superintendent, oversees all field operations and manpower spanning from the WA-Canadian border all the way through Oregon. With a construction career spanning over three decades, he brings extensive experience from working in two different trades including metal stud framing & drywall. In addition to his field expertise, Greg has spent 13 years as an Estimator and Project Manager in the construction industry. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors.
Tim Fant | Superintendent
Tim, our Taping Superintendent, brings over 35 years of expertise to our team, ensuring that every project is finished to the high standards our customers have come to expect. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality have made him a cornerstone of our operations. Beyond his professional achievements, Tim is a proud father of two daughters and one son. He balances his demanding career with a passion for the outdoors, finding relaxation and joy in fishing during his spare time. Tim's dedication to both his work and family highlights his ability to maintain excellence in all aspects of his life.
Tod Tucker | Shop Manager
Tod brings 30 years of industry experience to APS, having spent the majority of his career framing and managing projects for other competitors in our trade. His strong organizational skills and appreciation for logistics and resource scheduling have been key to his success. Outside of work, Tod enjoys vacationing with his family and exploring beautiful destinations with his camp trailer, blending his professional expertise with a love for adventure and quality family time.
Gerrit Sebree | Estimator
Gerrit is a Construction Estimator with a 20-year journey in the industry. His story began in Italy, where he worked for the iconic Walt Disney brand, contributing his expertise to the majestic Walt Disney Wonder cruise ship. Gerrit's passion and dedication saw him swiftly ascend the ranks, transitioning from an apprentice to spearheading projects as a Project Manager/Estimator. Beyond his professional achievements, Gerrit finds fulfillment in his roles as a devoted husband and a proud father of two energetic boys. With each passing day, he eagerly embraces the opportunity to infuse Alliance with the wealth of knowledge and experience he's amassed, fueling the company's journey toward continued success.
Tonja Diaz | Project Engineer
Tonja brings a decade of construction industry experience to her role as Project Engineer. Combining her recent Construction Management degree with her extensive experience, she excels in scheduling, planning, and customer service. This unique blend allows her to ensure project structure while fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Outside of work, Tonja prioritizes spending time with family. When she seeks adventure, you'll find her navigating the challenges of a 4x4 trail.
Nicole Linscott - Kirkwood | Project Manager
Nicole is a skilled Project Manager based out of our Tacoma location. With eight years of hands-on experience in the construction field, Nicole brings a diverse skill set encompassing Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, Plaster, Spray Applied Fireproofing, and Spray on K13 Insulation. Her expertise spans various project types, ranging from shell and core buildouts to tenant improvements in office buildings, healthcare facilities, and luxury apartment high rises. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys being in the mountains or on the coast adventuring… even if it is raining!
Randy Lee | Project Manager
Randy, a Project Manager based in our Tacoma location, brings over 10 years of industry experience to our team. He began his career in Southern California, working on notable projects such as Space Mountain at Disneyland and the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas. After moving to Washington, Randy advanced to the role of Foreman, overseeing million-dollar projects. Leading project after project to success as a leader in the field, Randy ascended to Project Manager. His time and expertise in the field have been an integral part of his success as a Project Manager. In his free time, he enjoys taking and developing pictures with old film and analog cameras, and his work has been featured in an Australian film photography magazine, showcasing his creative talents beyond his professional achievements.
Danielle Heim | Project Manager Assistant
Danielle is our Assistant Project Manager at the Tacoma office supporting multiple Project Managers. She has been in the construction industry for over 10 years with prior knowledge in industrial manufacturing and procurement. In her free time Danielle enjoys spending time with family, camping and working in her garden.
Krystal Cles | Payroll Administrator
Payroll/Certified Payroll Administrator with a background in bookkeeping and administration for 20 years. She’s been with APS since June of 2018. Krystal is married with one teenage daughter, 3 dogs, and 2 horses. In her spare time, you’ll find her camping, riding horses, or anything outdoors.
Cheri Bryant | AR Specialist
Cheri is our AR Specialist with over 35 years in Administration. She has done all aspects thru the years and is now focusing on Accounts Receivable and overseeing the Payroll and Financial departments. She loves riding her horse, gardening and spending time with grandkids in WA and MT.
